slightly off topic but does anyone know how to get a pdf to open on layout. I am trying to upload a site layout plan to my plans I have made using sketchup. when I open the folder I save it in whilst in layout it doesn’t show. sorry if this shouldn’t be a topic on here just normally you lot are very helpful!
You have to convert it to dwg or a raster format or you could insert it in SketchUp and import to layout
Not sure what you mean by “open on”. Is it a typo for “open in”? If you just mean how do you import a pdf file, that is simple enough.
PDFs can be vector or raster type. With vector type, you can click on intersections so any drafting over it is made much easier. With raster, you can only be approximate. Most PDFs will be raster.
