Parts Kit for Furniture

The other day someone asked about how to assemble a model of a piece of furniture from a “kit of parts.” I’m not sure if this is what he had in mind or not.

FWIW, the dining chair was designed by Michael Fortune. I did the original SketchUp model for plans which I created in LayOut.

Just needs some Testors glue and paint!

Can you even get Testor’s glue anymore? I miss that smell.

I bet you can! I’ll look for it next time kids and I go to get art supplies.

Reminds me of the “airfix” plane kits we used to buy as kids. Glue everywhere and they never got painted. Those pesky tabs took some getting off too.

Yep. I had a lovely model of a DC-3 for years. It was stored in a box.One day I looked in the box and the thing had disintegrated back into it’s component parts. Most of the glue joints had failed. :frowning:

Oh man! This could be a million dollar idea, right here! Take it home and glue it together, or just hang it on the wall as a piece of art!

Call it Sprue Seating!!
