Opposite/rotated isometric or perspective camera angles

In LO, I like to have a perspective or isometric viewport from specific (non-default) angles. I usually start with the Iso default and then adjust for optimal visualization. Once I get the desired angle, I often want to show another viewport rotated around 180 or 90 degrees to show the backside of a building or site. Usually, I just do this manually, rotating the camera with orbit, with a “close enough” approach.

Are there any tips on getting a precisely rotated/orbited camera angle? I assume there are native and extension tools for rotating/orbiting the camera in specific ways… but I haven’t explored them.

Presumably you are setting up scenes in SketchUp for the views you want in LO. After setting up the first view you could identify where the camera is and then set a point at 90° or 180° or whatever and use that with the native Position Camera feature to set up the other view(s).

There’s at least one extension that will place a guide point where the camera is. JS Camera Line from Sketchucation will place a guidepoint at the camera and a line directly awaye from the camera which you could use as a reference.

Thanks, Dave - JS Camera Line and Position Camera work great
