I keep having issues with push/pull and snapping in the model I am working on. I have noticed it in other models too. After a while, it just stops allowing me to click on surfaces and doesn’t show snaps. Closing and reopening works but it then will happen again. It makes modelling almost impossible.
I have this issue sometimes and closing and reopening cures it too. I also found that when it occurs if I save at that point the snaps etc all come back, so it’s just one click. Frustrating but not a major problem to me.
I also have this problem where suddenly things don’t snap or certain things just stop working as expected. I tried for about two hours on my MacBook Pro but go so frustrated and went back to my pc desktop and everything worked fine. To be clear, this isn’t a performance issue as much as just reallllly buggy feeling behavior. Would love to know if this is a known issue. For me working on Mac is basically unuseable.
I’ve finally had this bug last week, saving did the trick.
after a couple of hours working on a file, the mouse cursor wouldn’t snap on inferences and change icon. I saved, and it all cam back.
I also have this problem, inferencing disappears, mostly, saving resolves it but quite often have to quit and reopen.

I still have the same problem with SketchUp Pro 2025 on an Apple M1 Macbook with MacOS 15.4.1. It happens so often I can barely work with it.
Can you see particular steps that you do, after which inferencing no longer works?
There were steps I could do, to make that happen, but something was put in SketchUp 2025 to take care of that combination. If you are using 2025 and can still make it happen, it would be good to know what actions make the problem happen.
I have this same problem too. It has been present since 2024 and is still there in 2025. I can usually fix it by changing the view from perspective to parallel and then back again. I have yet to figure out what exactly triggers it since it seems to occur at random after an hour or so use with lots of zooming in and out. I also have an issue with inference not working sometime unless I am in X-ray mode.

I cannot identify any specific steps that lead to the problem, but it always happens to me when a group is active (but I mostly edit an active group so I don’t know if this is the reason) and when I use the Push/Pull or the Pencil tool. I have version 25.0.633 installed and no extensions installed. Maybe the issues are caused by a performance problem because I only have a M1 8GB Macbook?
