On sketchup online I have mistakenly converted my drawing into a group or component

On Sketchup online I have done something to my drawing that prevents me from editing it. It doesn’t seem to be grouped or be a component so I can’t explode it. Can anyone help

can you download the skp file and share it here ?

because if it’s not a group, nor a component, and you can’t access the geometry, It’s a bit hard to diagnose.

Is it outlined in red? this would indicate “locked”. While having the item selected, in the info panel, there is a lock symbol, uncheck it if it is checked. Otherwise, double clicking an object normally lets you enter its context to edit. As mentioned, sharing your model or at least a screen capture would help to identify the situation.

Thanks for your help. I have included an SKP. Your help would be much appreciated

It highlights blue but clicking once does not select it. Only dragging a select box around it works but no options seem to help.

so, you have one group

but if I ctrl-a I get 2 entities.

and as soon as I do anything, screen gets white. and from there, if I try to measure / draw anything, I get like 10 digits, meaning I’m super far.

I simply copied your group and pasted it to a new file, here it is.

I’ll poke a little more at the weird one, see if I find out why.

edit : duh, stupid me on a saturday morning, didn’t even compute the obvious thing, for some reason when you switched to parallel camera, the camera moved super far. it’s a known bug, and it’s the first thing you can try when you have weird camera problems like that.
switch back to perspective - just for a second - and it’s an immediate fix.

Great.Thank you so much
