When I right click on the shape I want to blow up it doesn’t offer me the option to edit the group. Why is this, please? It also won’t let me weld the edges.
Share the .skp file so we can see what you are working with.
I can’t upload the file from my drive, sorry. I’ve sent the link instead.
Unfortunately I can’t open your file from that link. If you download it to your computer you should then be able to upload it to the forum.

Hi Dave, here’s the download.

There isn’t any group in that model to explode. Aside from Casey, it is just loose edges, a face, and some guides.
Your screenshot proves this.
There is nothing to explode.
But when I select Casey and right click it still doesn’t give me the option to edit the group.
Do you understand that Casey is a Component and not a Group?
Yes, but if I select a shape drawn from lines I have the same problem.
I don’t think you understand what explode does or what groups and components are. Not sure I can help until you have the fundamentals under your belt.
No
I’ve been told to work through the tutorials as I’m a newbie to this.
Some might call that sound advice.
As I’m using a windows copy of Sketch Up rather than the MAC version I’m struggling to find most things, I have no tabs along the top either.
This isn’t a Windows vs Mac thing. You are using a web based version, not a desktop version. The user interfaces are different.
Thanks, but is there anything I can do?
