I just created a Sketchup free web account and started a model. I want to change the default template, but I can’t get to the model preferences. The toolbar and dropdown menus don’t appear on my screen. Any ideas?
There’s no option to set a different default template in the free web-based version. You can choose a new different existing template when you click on New Model over in the left side panel after clicking on the left-pointing arrow at the top left corner.
Once you have a new session open, you can make some adjustments such as changing units in Model Info and you can select a different style from the Styles panel.
