How do I change the default template style

Hello,

Is there a way to change the template’s default style? for example I’ve gotten to where one of the first things I do is change the Profile line thickness to 1 pt instead of 2 pt. Is there a way to change or create a template to incorporate certain preferences? I’m on Mac btw. I use both Windows and Mac but I’ve found that Mac has a better interface for things like this.

Open a fresh model, adjust all the preferences you want, update the style, purge anything that may be loose in the file, Then Save as Template and tick the box for set as default template.
