Hi, I was wondering (hoping) if it was possible to set the style of text used in SketchUp Make i.e change it universally from the default to Calibri/Bold/14 pt etc?

In menu Window > Model Info > Text > make the appropriate changes.
(and any other changes (“startup” geometry and/or settings) you would like to have in your template)
Now use menu File > Save As Template… (proper template name).
Make sure that ‘Use as default template’ is checked when saving this template !
