So, i’m glad to see my models now, but what’s this? In the models i saved from sketchup 2014 to the warehouse, there are the complete measures. Now they are not there.
So, i’m a woodworker and i draw all my furniture in sketchup. Now i don’t want to print the drawings on paper anymore, but want to have it completely on my tablet to build it in my workshop. But without measures its useless. Will there be any possibility to show the measures in sketchup viewer???
I’m having the same problem. Architectural drawings uploaded to “Warehouse”, then viewed on my Android tablet. The dimensions show for a split second when opening up the file, then disappear. I hope there’s a solution, otherwise I’m going to have a few choice words for Trimble & Google for persuading me to part with US$10.00 today for a piece of software that’s of no use without displaying dimensions!!

Hi guys,
The SketchUp Mobile Viewer does not currently support the display of text or dimension objects. This has been one of the more popular feature requests for future releases.
Hi Mike,
So can you Please tell me when it will be supported by the viewer?
Because without this feature the viewer is useless for me ans my work.
I really do wish that I could give you a timeline, but I can’t. As a publicly traded company, Trimble has pretty strict guidelines that prohibit publicly disclosing future product plans.
I would, however invite those of you who may be interested, to participate in the Beta program for the app. If you are interested, we would just need you to send an email to android-mobile@sketchup.com, and be sure to include your email address.
Hi Mike,
Thank you for your quick answer. You have my fullest sympathy for your company guidelines. I’m very interested to participate in the Beta program for the app and will send an email to the address.
About the dimension viewing in sketchup mobile viewer:
Since I have already paid $11.00 for my mobile viewer from the google play, will I be able to re-download the sketchup for free after the viewer actually shows the dimension? or should I purchase it again?
Furthermore, I wish there would be the refund policy. Since I, as a customer, am not satisfied with the product means that I should have the right to ask for the refund. Am I not right?
I’m not able to make official public statements about future product plans or pricing models. I can point out that since the app was first launched, we have published multiple updates to the SketchUp Mobile Viewer app to iTunes and the Play store. To date, all prior updates have been free.
(cc @domrayner) To obtain a refund for the app, please follow the steps below (via a web browser):
- Visit Google Play using a web browser.
- Click the gear icon > My Orders.
- Point to the app or game you’d like to return. Click the menu icon that appears.
- Select Report a problem, then select the refund option. Describe the reason for the refund, then click Submit.
Please be sure to check Google’s refund policy for information regarding the re-purchasing, and obtaining refunds for, previously returned apps. I would hate for you to be unable to re-purchase any future versions of the app that might better suit your needs.
Please let me know if you have any trouble following the steps above, or if there is anything else we can help you with.
Thank you for copying me on this, Mike. However, I’m holding out for a fix to the dimension visibility glitch which will make the Android app a fully working tool . . . . hopefully soon!
