SU has no icon showing (blank) in the task bar although the program opens and runs OK. Not a big deal. I assume this is a Windows issue and has to fo with file organization. Any ideas?
Sounds like a Windows issue. What version of SketchUp are you using? Was it installed correctly?
There are numerous threads on Windows related forums that talk about this kind of thing.
Thanks Dave. I suspect Windows as well. I’m on V. 2024 w/ W.11. Layout icon shows up correctly.

I have seen problems like that when updating an application that is already pinned to the taskbar. Open SketchUp and right-click its icon to unpin it from the taskbar, then pin it again. See if that fixes the icon.
I opened SketchUp. I right clicked on the icon in the taskbar and clicked “unpin”. There seemed to be a minor change to the icon however it remained blank. I then clicked “pin to taskbar” and there seemed to be a minor change however it still remained blank.
I still have ver 2023 on my desktop and when I open it it has an SU icon. What do you make of that?
Delete the icon. Open the start menu, open the SketchUp folder, select SketchUp , right-click on it and choose pin to taskbar.
Thanks for the suggestion. I did not work.
First change the icon for another one from SketchUp, then drag the builder and the layout to the taskbar, change the SketchUp icon again for the normal one that comes and drag it to the taskbar, open sketchup and works , that procedure solved it for me,
