New Graphics engine problem sketchup 2024

New Graphics engine (sketchup 2024) gives me a lot of artifacts when panning. Classic Graphics engine is fine. I’ve done all the updates with drivers including from the Nvidia site and no change. The new engine driver is glitchy and it needs to be fixed. Trimble, get to work. The issue has been around for 9 months or more.

May be a refresh rate issue. Playing the recorded screen image doesn’t show any issues but live on screen it does

No need to double post. That’s against forum rules anyway.

I haven’t seen any glitches in the graphics in SketchUp 2024 with my Nvidia graphics card.

I’m not the only one. It’s not the Nvidia card or driver its the new graphics engine.
I’m using an Nvidia RTX 3090Ti and when panning I get a broken image in the form of vertical scan lines. Using the sketchup Classic graphics engine the panning is smooth without any issues

I didn’t say you were.

Hi Dave, I’ve changed many settings including, refresh rate, V-sync, on & off.
Nothing works. All the issues go away when I switch to sketchup classic engine.
So for now thats where I will stay.

there are at least 1M users, you’re bound to find someone with the same issue.
in fact, the other issues you’re mentioning were with AMD, not nvidia as Dave said.

I notice that your screen is quite wide. anything specific on this front ? do you only use one or several ? seems that your machine doesn’t handle DX12 + your screen well. Have any screen at hand to try and swap ?
In the Nvidia parameters, did you check if your 3090 is assigned to sketchup ? sometimes the default intel chipset is, making your computer slower in SU than it should be.

Do you have the newest version of The Nvidia App ?

Are you using the Game Ready or Studio driver?
(You might try the one you are not using.)

As others have said, make sure that SketchUp is using your Nvidia discrete GPU.
