i’ve created sofa with guitar shaped.
but i have difficulties with the upholstery model
maybe someone can help me

hello, the best would be to use a texture for that… what renderer do you use ?

im using v ray,
i’ve tried textures, but doesn’t really look like tufted.
i wanted to look like this, (sample pic from google)

I you suggest you look into recent enmesh function in Vray

they have tufted models that can be spread over your object just like if it was a texture

on my v ray, missing enmesh - pattern option
nowhere to be found

as i said it is quite a recent feature introduced in the vray 6 version. Update Vray or do it the ‘old’ way following Mihai’s posted videos.
You could also look for a texture that has a nice bump map or even displacement map
