Need Help turning Spiral into Cable - Please

Hello, I am very new to Sketchup, I am trying to make a cable to look like this.
I installed the spiral plugin and created a spiral that looks like this

I added the disk but cannot figure out how to make the FollowMe tool work. Or is there a better way? Can someone please help.

First, explode the group containing the spiral. Then select the spiral, get Follow Me and click on the face of the circle.

The clue that the spiral is in a group is the bounding box surrounding it. And the path (spiral) and the profile (circle) need to be in the same context for Follow Me to work.
