i’m working on multiple school projects, and accidentally clicked on a past file, I’m not sure if that’s what caused the issue but now both new and old files seem to just open and crash immediately. I restarted the computer in hopes that would fix it but it seems to have changed nothing and with finals quickly approaching this isn’t an issue I would hope to have be dealing with.
The screenshot above doesn’t reveal anything, even if you post the same thing in different threads - which is against the forum rules.
When SketchUp crashes you see Bug Splat screen, you need to Send Error Report you filled up with proper data and note the #number that appears in the web browser and post that #number here. Then the staff has a chance to look into your specific case.

I did reply to one of your other posts, but can’t find that reply now. Your case is the same as the one I replied to here:
SketchUp 2026.0.429 works perfectly on “new graphics engine”. Updating to 2026.1.256 causes instant crash on Qt6Core.dll when creating or opening any file. Machine: Laptop Avell, NVIDIA RTX 4060 (Driver 596.36), Hybrid GPU setup
Sketchup 2026.1.256 - Classic graphics engine - works perfectly
