My Imported .PNG Texture Tiles even though I use the Projection Setting

Hey everyone!
This is quite urgent because this assignment is due, so your help would be much appreciated! I tried to import a .png image to be used as a texture on a dome, but it tiles (like a pattern) instead of projecting like a decal. (even though the projection box is checked) I need the image to have a transparent background because it is an aspect of the design. What should I do? Maybe you’ve sent the wrong file because the sketchUp file doesn’t have an imported png or a dome.

Something like this?

For transparency use a PNG, not JPG file.
Presentation 2 Final (SU 2017).skp (3.6 MB)

Use layers for hidding groups.
You should see white of a face, not the blue (backside).

Also paint the inside of the dome.

You must size and position the texture using Contextual Menu Texture / Position-- to fit the dome foot print. One way is to close the bottom of the dome (so you have a face) and position the projected texture on that face prior to painting the dome surfaces.
