Moving a rectangle on a plane without it flipping

I’ve been using Sketchup for years. Drew a simple rectangle on a plane and tried to move it after CTRL button to do multiples…and it flips 90 degrees. Whats going on?

Show us a screen capture video of what you are seeing.

I’ve alway been able to just replicate it

A still image doesn’t show us what you are actually doing. Are you grabbing the rotation handle?

What the heck is “a lot” graphics card?

I dont know how to do video, no Im just choosing it then pressing Ctrl then pressing the move button and it flips when I try to move it

Im on the same computer Ive been on for years. This is the first time this has happened. My IT dept has gone home, sorry

It must be something you’re doing differently. I can’t replicate it.
move copy

yes, thats exactly what Ive been doing for years, but all of a sudden it flips automatically

Unless you can show something more–a screen capture video–I’m afraid there’s not much to tell you. There are free screen capture videos like LiceCap.

If your IT department has gone home for the day you might as well do the same.

If you made it a component with gluing properties, that would make it jump orientation when glued to a surface. Such components also get weird when they snap to a guide instead of a surface.
