Hi, I have been having difficulty with the move /copy tool. As I am copying and moving, I cant seem to line up properly and moreover, I when I click my mouse to release it doesn’t, hence my component continues to move and I can’t release when I click it. Therefore, the component is a runaway train. Any advice?

Are you clicking and releasing when you start the move? Or are you holding the mouse button while moving?
What does this mean? Are you having difficulty moving the object on axis? Have you tried using the cursor keys to lock the direction?
Or does it mean you are having difficulty aligning one object with another? If so, where are you grabbing the object when you move it? Are you grabbing it by a point that has a destination? For example are you grabbing the object by a corner that can be placed at a corner on another object?
It would help if you share your model so we can see what you are working with and what exactly you are trying to do.
Hi, I am still having a hard time lining up the pillars and my mouse/click wont release the pillar into place. Don’t you just click and release? I made the 1st pillar a component then I use the move tool and control key to copy and drag it. I am using the corner of the pillar to drag but I still cant get this to line up.

In the video I sent, it is not the Gazebo but the pillar section right after that.

Hi, Here my file. I even turned on the XRAY mode for copying and moving these pillars. I grabbed the original by the corner but when i try to line it up. I don’t get the vertical dotted line to line it up. Also I have to keep hitting escape or the pillar wont release jut by clicking the mouse. I cant figure out what I am doing wrong.
