Ho can I make the dot on my mouse bigger when selecting something?
If you are referring to the “pick aperture”, that is, the region around the tip of the cursor where something is considered to be picked when you click, SketchUp does not provide any way to change its size.
On my desk top computer it is much bigger than the Surface computer I am using. Why do you think it would be different ?

That’s because the surface pro has very high dpi, which sketchup doesn’t handle well yet.
