Models displaced in Sketchup

Hello,

A mistake happened when using some of the location tools such as the panning or zoom tool. There was a loss of all the developed objects after using the tools. Not deleted though. The axis isn’t showing. How is this recovered, thanks.

Probably something located at a huge distance from the rest of the model. Share the .skp file so we can try to help you.

Did you use zoom extents? Shift+Z

I dont think so. I was simply using the common movement, pan, and zoom tools in the menu bar

Do I need to use the zoom extents (Shift + Z) to bring the model back into view?

Zoom Extents made this show up.

thanks, where is the zoom extents tool?

Camera menu or Camera toolbar.

If at least one of your scenes Ssaved the Camera position you’d be able to select the scene and go back to that position.

BTW, you should make sure you are using tags correctly. ALL edges and faces should be created and remain untagged. Only groups and components should be given tags.

thanks again ! I know I need to review more of the tool bar menu. I found it though

I’ve been using another tool which is “Material Resizer”, in additon to purging faces and edges, and “Cleanup tool” The Material Resizer reduces a lot of the file size materials without losing quality

Yes, I’ve lagged on the proper use of “Tags”.
