Measuring tool - Scaling box not working

HI,

I am in a free version of Sketch up but I am struggling to scale my drawings. When I try to make a measurement I click once on starting point and second time on end point. The figure does not lock and I am unable to enter new dimensions in the window box.

I tried to find solutions on forms or net but failed to find solution, super frustrating considering how time I spent on it.

I have attached a short video.
Any help will be great !

Looks to me as if you are clicking in the Measurements window. There is never any reason to click in the Measurements window. Click on the first post with the Tape Measure tool, click on the second point, LET GO OF THE MOUSE, type the desired dimension and press Enter.

Please correct your forum profile. You are using the free plan of SketchUp for Web, not 2025 Desktop.

Hell Dave,
thank you for your response,
I am not sure what you mean by not clicking on Measurement window. I only click on Tape measure symbol then try to measure the line. by two clicks.

In your video you click in the Measurements window at the lower right corner of the screen.

Are you clicking on the endpoints of the edge?

Ok, I think I found a way now. On second measurement point, I somehow finally locked the number and then could type it in. Before, I could not do it. Strange, thank you
