How to check a dimension of a line inside a viewport in Layout besides using the dimension tool?

You can use the Line tool (Pencil icon), click on a starting point and then wherever you drag the mouse the length will be shown on the bottom of the screen. You don’t have to actually draw the line, just hit Esc to cancel this particular line or Space to exit out of the Line function altogether.

Thank you Eugenius. So there is no measuring tool as in SketchUp. Is it?
When I use the pencil, it gives me the measurement in paper space instead of the real dimension inside the viewport.
No “measure” tool that I’m aware of. I generally use dimensions to “measure” objects in scaled viewports.
