Don’t know when or why, but the thumbnails for my materials colors went crazy. Now I only have these shapes that do not show the color. Anybody know about this?

This is part of the new materials and rendering in SketchUp 2025. There are numerous threads on this topic already.
I tried the “solution”: copying the materials folder from 24 to 25. No help.
There is a preferences setting, to control whether old materials get converted into new materials. Look in Preferences, Graphics, and look at the two checkboxes and sliders. If those are not checked, and you open a model with old materials in it, the material preview will stay looking like the old square thumbnails.
