After applying a radius to the edges of a detail with the follow me tool, there are empty spaces in the corners. How to fix it and how to apply a radius to the edges of curved detailes? The Bevel tool does not work here for some reason.
You are encountering the “tiny faces” issue. SketchUp was meant for bigger architectural models. To overcome it, you scale up. One way is to treat meters as if they were inches or milimeters. Another way, if you have started already with a smaller scale, is called the “Dave Method.” You use the scale tool to enlarge a copy of the component 1000 times. Then. when you use the follow me tool, you won’t have tiny faces. Once the enlarged component is solid, you make sure that you are not in the edit context and you erase the enlarged component. After that hit zoom extends and return to the original smaller component, and it will be solid.
