Match photo problem

Thank you guys for your solutions, but it still doesn’t show my photo.

I tried it too, but it didn’t work.

If you don’t first succeed, try try again…
Go into windows explorer choose the view tab, go to options on the right, the folder options window opens, go to the view tab, untick the box for hide extensions for known file types. Click apply and OK.

I did it and unfortunately, I didn’t get any results. :upside_down_face:
I’m sarching for a solution about a week :))

I have sometimes noticed that changing the file extension from .jpeg to just .jpg makes a difference to what is recognised as an image, but can’t remember if that makes a difference to Sketchup. I’ve certainly known it happen in one or two other programs.

Try it and see. Or change just a couple from .jpeg to .jpg, and see if they are recognised, but those still named .jpeg aren’t.

Guys I found the solution!
If anyone has this problem, you should just convert your photo into sandaard type in some websites like

and then, sketchup can recognize it.

What did you convert it from and to? You said you had jpeg files. Those are a standard raster image file type. If you had to convert the images, they must not have been jpeg files to start with.

It would be interesting to see if you took one of your files that failed to import, and change its name from .jpeg to .jpg. SketchUp 2019.2 introduced a fix where .jpeg was now supported.

Given that there is a current problem where SketchUp 2020 can show as being 2019, that could leave a possibility that you’re using 2019.1 instead of 2020.1.

It seemed to be jpeg, but they weren’t.
The photos were from an unknown source, and they were not in a standard format.
