could someone please help me?
i use sketchup for mac os 2024, i would like to know how to copy a texture from one object to another. In sketchup for windows it was only necessary to click on the material in one object and apply it to the other object but on mac os it doesn’t work like that.
Thank you for your help.
Press B for Paint Bucket
Hold down the Command Key - an eye dropper will appear
Click on a face with the material you want to copy
Release the Command key
Click on the face you want to receive the texture
They eye dropper in the Materials Palette is for sampling color - it is a macOS tool.
*this assumes you have not applied a material to a group and that you are working with individual faces. It works the same for groups / components - but if individual faces within a group or component have materials applied you will not see them change when your alter the material applied to the group.
On Windows you would have held down the Alt key when clicking on the source material. It’s the same with Mac, only it’s the Command key and not the Option key, even if that key is also labelled as Alt.
