Lost my saved work - not in history

HI All,
I am using Sketchup Free
2 days work has not been auto saved
history does not show the work done, it only shows the first saved date and the last time i opened the file, non of the work done in between.
is there a way of recovering the work done ?
I have lost a lot of work and it is not in the file history.
