I’m having trouble signing on to SketchUcation under a different user ID. Before I begin I apologize in advance. I’m trying to keep this from being too complicated and still explain my situation.
On my computer I opened up a new user ID. When I did this of course I had to reinstall or reconnect some of my plugins particularly Fredo. On my original ID all my apps from SketchUcation work just fine but when I’m trying to log on to Extension Manager in the new user ID, it never connects to allow me to login. The plugins are there but it couldn’t find my license to downloaded updates. Some of my other plugins that are not Fredo work just fine.
Could it be since I was already logged in on my original ID? I tried to logout on the original ID but it would not logout.
Looking for some suggestions if any would be appreciated. Thanks John
I don’t understand what you are trying to accomplish. Do I read you correctly that you have set up a new Windows user account? What is the point of doing this? Are you still using SketchUp 2016 as indicated in your forum profile?
Why haven’t you posted this on the SketchUcation forums, where it belongs ?
If you have two member accounts use the old one that works. The member’s details are not computer specific. When you mention ‘Extension Manager’ do you mean the native dialog ? If you mean SketchUcation’s Extension Store that is a different thing, and needs your member name and password… This won’t work on older versions like v2016, so I assume you do have a newer version - you should correct your profile’s details here…
I recentlywas having issues with my 2017 sketchup issues were when I would use a command any command such as move, rotate and so forth in the middle of the operation it would lose its command, and stop, I would have to go back hit the move button again to move the object sometimes it works most the time it stops I didn’t know if that was memory, having said that I wanted to start a new account on my computer and see if I was having the same issues also wanted to load all my plugins that would also determine if I’m having issues with a memory. So that’s why trying to log on to SketchUcation in sketchup it would just show a spinning (not connecting) and as I was trying to say earlier I was logged on on my other account didn’t know if you can only be logged on as one user ID.
So I did apologize, now I was hoping looking for help and not hopefully be criticized for being on the wrong form, I would like to thank in a perfect world that you or anyone else looking to help someone would look past me being in the wrong form and just help me. I had already indicated that I didn’t know what I was doing so I don’t know just looking for help that’s all I wanted.
