Issues with SketchUcation

Not sure if this is the best place to ask about this but I’ve been trying for weeks to get logged into Sketch Ucation. No matter what I do I can’t get logged in.

I’ve selected “forgot password” and was told an email had been sent. Never have received them.
I’ve sent emails from the links to the managers and never heard anything from them.
I even tried putting in a new account and that failed.

Does anyone know a active contact at Sketch Ucation that I could send and email to?

I need some extensions upgraded on my Sketchup and they are only on there.

Thanks,
Walt

Send me a PM with your Sketchucation user name and the e-mail address you used. I’ll see if I can sort it out.

Sorry Dave, not finding how to send a PM on this system. Looked at your account but didn’t see anything there.

Walt

Just click on my avatar and then “Message”. You might need another post or two in the main forum, first, though.

If @DaveR can’t fix it for you perhaps I can…
You might have noticed that the “TIG” is the same on both forums ?
I occasionally get emails via the links available on the site from members who can’t login - usually forgotten passwords [the auto-response having been spam-binned] or very old inactive accounts that need re-activation…
PM me with your linked email and username and I can reply via email…

Hi TIG, I have installes your SectionCutFAce many times and when I go to use it - it’s always disabled (SU2018&2022) please let me know what to do. THANK YOU!

Are you actually using Windows 8.1 as indicated in your forum profile?

Please update your forum profile to include 2022.

Did you install SketchUp correctly? That is, did you right click on the installer and choose Run as administraor?

Is it possible you have the extension set up to not load in the Sketchucation Extension Store tool or in Extension Manager?

Is it just me or is Sketchucation incredibly slow to load and navigate? I had to go up there last evening and I swear it felt like I was back in the 90’s on a 56k modem again. @TIG was trying to help me sort out an issue with releasing seats to some licenses and after about 20 minutes of unproductive clicking around the site, primarily with waiting for the site to load pages, I had to move on with more important matters at home.

They have acknowledge some server issues they are working on sorting out.I’ve been seeing it acting slow once in awhile in the last day or so.

Back to normal now.

Do you have any plans to update SectionCutFace to work with SU 2024?

I use it (used to use it) a lot, but it is disabled in SU 2024.

I realize this post is a shot in the dark

TIG updated it recently (April 2, 2024) and it works fine in SketchUp 2024. Install it fresh with the Sketchucation Extension Store tool.

So, it is via Sketchucation. Thanks. I was getting ready to do my Fredo6 and other Sketchucation extensions/plugins now.

How about Clothworks? That was the only other one I was (currently) having trouble with.

Its’s nice to see you are still about and extraordinarily quick.

All of TIG’s available plugins and extensions are hosted at Sketchucation, none of his are available in the Extension Warehouse.

Make sure you update the Sketchucation Extension Store tool and use it to install your bundle from Sketchucation.

It has not been updated yet but apparently the author is working on it so hopefully soon it will be available.

Thanks.

BTW, your forum profile shows you are still using SU2021. Time for an update there.

Hi Dave,

Here I am 5 or so years later and found your profile / your reply to the initial question by waltg421.

I also couldn’t see where the message option is once I clicked on your avatar.

Do you perhaps have a way to get in touch with someone at SketchUcation? I have tried logging into the website on a numerous amount of times however I still don’t get recognised as an account holder despite getting a confirmation email saying that I’m now registered. I’ve tried resetting passwords, created a second account and even emailed their support email but they haven’t responded.

I am trying to get a downloadable file for Curvisoft for a design that I’m currently working on.

Theres no way of logging in to get the file, even if I want to purchase it. It keeps saying the website doesn’t recognise my login credentials.

Could you kindly help

Thanks in advance.

Do you really mean Curviloft?

You do have an active account at Sketchucation. It shows you joined 3 days ago. Perhaps you aren’t using the correct password?

If you now have a member’s account at SketchUcation [Free or Paid] to access the forums and files etc you need to login.
If you click on the Login button a simple dialog opens.
In that you enter your member-name [as you chose when setting up the account from 3 days ago as callan_studiolamarc ] and your password [which is case sensitive].
Do NOT enter your email address ! It must be your name [ callan_studiolamarc ].
If you can’t login because you’ve forgotten your exact name or password, there’s a link from that dialog to another dialog, into which you enter your related email [it must be the one you used to set up the account] - sending that should result in an email to you by return which will help you proceed…
Failing that try emailing ‘support’ as @DaveR suggested…

I managed to resolve the issue thanks Dave. Indeed I was using our email instead of our username. Lesson learnt

I managed to get logged in thanks. I was using my email instead of my username. Mistake on my part
