Does anybody know how to lock the Default Tray to the side of the screen? It will not lock. It used to be enough to drag it over to the side.

Do you not get the docking icon either in the middle of the work space or one at each edge.
By the way, putting Latest vers as your sketchup version doesn’t assure us you are using 2024 this close to the 2024 release, please take the seconds needed to actually update it when you do actually update.
Thank you I didn’t notice the docking icon in the middle of the screen. It has always been at the ends!

I am having the same issue, but I do not see the docking icon anywhere, even when I unplug my other monitors (I thought maybe it was buried on another screen somewhere). I am still trying to get used to 2024, so maybe I’ve missed something??
Also wondering how to lock other toolbars, like Scan Essentials and other extensions. I hate having to organize everything upon opening the program each time.

This suggests there is an issue with your installation.
Close sketchup and layout.
Locate in File Explorer or download again the Install.exe
Select it, right click and choose Run as Admin, follow the prompts and choose Repair when given the option, follow the prompts.
Then shutdown your PC and start it again.
Open sketchup, position your toolbars if needed, close sketchup and reopen, and your toolbars have hopefully remained where you put them, check to see if you dock the trays.
Thanks for your help, Box, but unfortunately this did not work. It is still acting the same, which is – when I grab the tray and move it around, there is still an artifact of the tray in its original position. I have to wonder if the docking buttons are somehow hidden under the artifact? (By artifact I mean the tray stays in its position and I am able to move a copy of it around. When I place the tray, the artifact disappears.)
Could be a graphics driver problem.
Make sure that you are using the latest Studio driver and try again…
