We are developing Speckle, a collaborative data hub designed to integrate with your AEC tools. I would like to publish our SketchUp connector on the Extension Warehouse as a listing page; however, I’ve encountered a problem.
The Extension Warehouse only accepts website addresses that end with .com, while our website is speckle.systems. This has become a significant blocker for us.
I have nothing to do with EW. I’m just a user.
But I don’t understand, there are links on EW that don’t end with .com, but they still work.
E.g. here are 2 random one:
This doesn’t feel right. We have been using this domain for a while now and it’s definitely a valid domain.
Ok, you are correct. But it seems only some domains are accepted. .com, .org, .cc, .io and possibly more that I’m not aware of. But domains like .design, .systems, .community are not accepted.
Hi @bilal
Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
I’ve just run a quick test here and you’re right. Unfortunately .systems isn’t a domain that Extension Warehouse supports.
What I would recommend as a quick fix is to use a different, more standard domain, and then get that to auto-redirect to speckle.systems. This should allow you to then get the listing page up and running on EW quickly.
