Lines not becoming a plane

For some reason the lines won’t became a plane for me to push/pull. I have already inspected if maybe there are gaps and unconnected lines, but I can’t seem to find one. I already deleted and redrawing those lines again and I also turned off the “enable length spanning” but issue still persist.

You imported from DWG or DXF? Yes, very likely that they are not flat or there are tiny gaps.

You can try this plugins to help if they are all flat:

You could also try drawing and oversized rectangle and connecting a few edges to see if you can isolate where the problem is.

FWIW I never use a DXF or DWG to model from. I only use it as a reference.

Hi thank you for your response. Yes, I have imported this from my DWG file so that I could just easily trace out the MSDP on sketchup. I have downloaded the extension, but issue still persist. If you want maybe I could send you the file so that you can look over it see what I did wrong?

I can’t - I don’t have anything to read DXF or DWG other than SKP.

if it’s poorly made there is not much you can do in SKP.

Attach your model and someone will look at it.

hello,

  • I moved everything to untagged
  • deleted a couple of stray edges on rounded sidewalk that I spotted using edge tools² plugin
  • selected all and intersected

MSDPv3.skp (761.9 KB)

sometimes it is better to export each layer separately from your dwg so that you can have a group for each type of object. It is also feasable by right clicking and selecting everything on a specific tag before untagging, but it may cause issues if edges are overlapping

No worries and thanks for the suggestion, I’m just gonna re-do it again from scratch and just import and traced the dwg instead of making it my original model.
