Recently, when using the line tool using apple pencil on iPad, the line places the end snap point and then immediately begins to start drawing the next line. It’s almost as if there is a continuous draw setting enabled. Up until last week, I have never encountered this issue. Before, it used to let me draw a start point, extend to where i wanted it and when i lifted the pencil, it would end there. Now it does not. Does anyone have a way to fix this or experiencing the same issue?

I have exactly the same problem, I thought it was me and I was adding a small movement at the end of the line to cause that to happen.
So frustrating! But thank you for posting this and thank you @rtches for the solution!
