The License number sent does not work. Also, by sunsetting your licenses (surprise my 2025 licenses do not work starting today) you are forcing Education labs to install TWICE per year. That really sucks. Also, half of my students cannot access Sketchup for Schools either. Even after they are added to my Admin Console as users.
For the license you have, there are 60 days from when the first 2026 license is activated before the 2025 licenses no longer work. You activated the license today, but 2025 licenses should still work until May 15th 2026.
One thing I noticed is that you have 40 seats on your license, but somehow have activated 2025 on 42 computers. Are there computers that don’t need SketchUp anymore, that you could remove the license from, to free the activations for new computers?
I have some computers that broke or are no longer in use (Windows 10). I only have 39 computers in my lab, so there must have been 3 of them that died that I cannot recover those licenses from. I have not activated any 2026 licenses because I did not want to install on 40 machines again. Today more than half of my 2025 installations do not work. I tried deleting the lic file and re-entering the license number. that did not work. I tried having my class switch to Sketchup for Schools, half could not get it to open. I added those students as user in the admin panel. Still could not open SFS. So, I tried installing 2026 (If my 2025 licenses aren’t working may as well test an installation) The license number did not work for the 2026 installation. So, basically half of my lab cannot access anything in the Sketchup universe.
Also, how did my 2026 license activate, when the serial number and code failed?
I sent a message with the machine details for the license that activated ok.
Not sure what to say about SketchUp for Schools. @CaseyG may have thoughts.
If your intention is to hold off on going to 2026 until the yearly renewal of September 5th, you could ask Support to clear the 2026 activation you did, so that 2025 becomes your active version again.

To clear 2025 from an old machine you would need to open SketchUp 2025, and use the Manage License screen to remove the license. Deleting the file doesn’t free up that activation.
For the half that don’t work, what happens when you open SketchUp?
The old machines either do not boot or are gone. I tried both removal techniques for the 2025s. Students get an error screen about the license.
What error do they get?
AND of course today everything works as if nothing happened. Now I have to cancel the 2026 activation and the lab installation.
