I’m curious if anyone has any experience using SU to work with scan data from a Leica 3D Disto. I fabricate custom residential cabinetry and millwork and I’m wondering if SU is capable of opening a scan file from a Leica 3D Disto and using that data to create a model of the site conditions. Meaning creating surfaces from the points in the model to represent walls, floors, ceilings, window and door openings, etc. The sample files I have been provided have both a .dwg and .dxf file formats. I have seen these opening in autocad as well as rhino, but I’m wondering if this is compatible with SU.
