LAYOUT OPENS TO TEMPLATES INSTEAD OF LAYOUT FILE AFTER CRASH…doesnt open to original file or to autosaved file…have to open actual file. It recognises the crash but doesnt take me to the original file or autosave…And it crashes frequently! Late model macbook pro M2
There’s a couple of ways to get around this: see preferences (this is Mac) and if you choose to check Welcome Window, it’ll give you more choices on what to open.
On Mac, you can also use Terminal and the open command to only open the doc you want (probably something similar on Win) -
open Bldg2fl3.layout -a /Applications/SketchUp\ 2025/LayOut.app
Holding Shift while clicking on an app has traditionally been the way to safely open an app when it has a crashing document. Did you send in bugsplats? I could look why you’re crashing.
