Layout not inserting model

I am now having issues inserting Sketchup 24 models into layout 24.
Mac Sonoma 14.4.1

Direct insert method - nothing inserted and doesn’t show up in References

Send to layout results - file shows up in References, but viewport will no-show model and no views can be selected

Existing Layout document with existing viewport- if I relink the viewport with existing model to the 2024 model it will show up in References, but viewport will not show model and no views can be selected see below screen shots.

Something else that I have noticed is the icon in Finder is shown instead of a preview. The files displayed in finder as previews can be imported without issues, the files displaying as icons can’t be inserted.

I really need to find a fix for this ASAP as I have a deadline that is closely approaching.

With auto-render disabled, we will not create a render until told to do so. Try hitting the Render button in the SketchUp Model Inspector dialog, or context clicking and selecting Render Models On Page or Render Models in Document. Alternatively, you can re-enable auto-rendering.

This no-render-on-insertion-when-auto-render-is-disabled issue is something we are aware of and are looking into fixing.
