Capture 1 shows how the document looks onscreen and is correct, but as shown in Capture 2, when I try and print a hard copy or convert to pdf the background drops out and I’m left with a blank screen and all the edits I put on top of the imported model. To me it appears to be a bug in the software. I have noticed that anytime you adjust the viewports in layout it prompts re-rendering the model made in SketchUp and that is when the screen too goes blank.
Hi Katya,
I went into the “Document Setup” tab under the File Pull Down Menu and I looked at the References. I noticed one file was embedded, but no File Name Listed. So I went digging into my files and found the file I thought was supposed to be there. I “Relinked” the file and went to print the drawing and it printed correctly. I also noticed that if you make a model in a new version of SketchUp and try and pull up a Layout page with that model in the page, it will behave the same way. So I converted the file to the older version and relinked it and it too printed.
