Hard to tell. Can you share the LO file so we can see what you’ve got set up?
What version of SketchUp and LayOut? Please complete your forum profile.
Insulation Lift Section Drawing 5 Layout Frame.layout (3.9 MB)
Insulation Lift Section Drawing 5.skp (2.6 MB)
latest versions as far as I know
the end goal is to insert an image into a word document.
I don’t see any way to import a PDF into word
I don’t want to stitch together PDF pages because sometimes it can be a lot of individual images
I am not having an issue here exporting from LayOut.
Your PNG is not the same name as the file names in the screen shot you shared. Are you exporting from SKP or LO?
File>Export… PNG or JPG works fine.
you’re using File ? Export > Images… ?
the multiple viewports on top of one another are to get rid of the lines that show through upper layers in sketchup

it can’t be a document setting that is affecting this. idk what to do
but for now I found I can export to PDF and then from Acrobat export the PDF to a Word doc and this gives me an image that I can copy and paste into our spec
thanks trying to help
What happens when you go to File>Export… and then chose JPG or PNG?
What version of SketchUp and LayOut are you using?
I just updated to the latest version, same result
go to topmost viewport and choose the scene “Overview” that will show all the lines from SU that I don’t want. hence splitting up the image
Looks like this would work better if you weren’t stacking all those viewports on the same layer in LayOut. Or just use one viewport with the scene set to the Overview. It would be better if you used tags instead of Hide for controlling object visibility, too.
I got the same as @bmike got.
I can confirm that when I open the file and export, I get the same thing, only the bottom “layer” showing. I turned on all the LO layers.
Then I changed the Display rendering settings in Document Setup to High, and the image export was OK.
thank you, changing from the default medium to high Display Resolution fixed it for me.
if the other two are using Macs you may be right since this is a document setting and they should have been set to medium display when they opened it up
Display resolution only affects what you see on screen, I always have mine set to medium or low, and my output always set to high.

I spent a few minutes trying to figure out how to do this. I can’t find anything in the Sketchup Community pages to click on that will show me my profile
