Layout 2024-I’m trying to show some perspective images of a kitchen drawing. In raster, the lines are grainy and low quality (even though rendering quality is set to high), but in hybrid ghost lines appear. Please see the two images attached. It isn’t doing it on all scenes.
Share the LO file so we can see what you’ve got.

Thanks. I’ve played around with some viewports and I’ve no idea how they’ve suddenly righted themselves, but if you look at the island on page 10, the left image is hybrid and the right is raster, if I try to hybrid that viewport it looks awful
The file you shared appears to be the backup copy, not the working file. Note the ~ in the file name.
sorry, I’ve just uploaded the correct version
The problem is that you’ve got your model strung out over a very huge distance. This creates graphical problems like you show.
The island way over on the right in the above screenshot is more than a kilomenter from the origin. You need to keep your model close to the origin.
There’s no reason to string out the components anyway. Use tags and tag folders to control the visibility of the objects in your model. Then for views of just the island, for example, you can show the island component you already have in the kitchen by turning off the tags and tag folders for the rest of the model. The same with the other elements in the kitchen.
I see in LayOut you’ve modified the Camera properties for many of the viewports. This will create problems for you when you make updates to the scenes in the SketchUp model. And really there’s no need to modify the Camera in LO anyway. You should be able to do what you need with the scenes.
Hi Hannah,
I’m back with a revision of both your SketchUp and LayOut files. I eliminated the elements in the next village so there’s only the kitchen and pantry elements in one place. I did some rudimentary tagging so the visibility of different objects can be controlled (I also unhid the objects you had hidden. Use Tags, not Hide for that stuff.) I name many of the scenes so you can identify what’s being shown in them and I added a few more. All of the viewports in the LayOut file have been updated and their cameras reset so they will track with the scenes in the model.
If you want to look at the SketchUp model right click on a viewport and choose Open with SketchUp. If you want to replace your working model with this one, use File>Save as and save it in your project folder on your internal drive. After doing that, though, go into LayOut’s File menu. Click on Document Setup>References, select the .skp file reference and choose Relink. Navigate to where you saved the file and click Open. That way when you edit that SketchUp file in the future, the viewports can be updated in the LayOut file.
BTW, it would be wise to add layers above the Default layer for dimensions and annotations. Maybe rename Default to Viewports or something.

Hi Dave I really appreciate your help, thank you. I will say this model is particularly messy as it’s just a draft and I usually tidy them up, but was in a bit of a rush to share concept images. I hadn’t realised how far away I’d placed the island. I’ve been taught to build cabinetry outside of a model for ease, but I know everybody works differently. Thanks again for your help
