I’m trying to figure out why when i click into the text box on my template, its how I’d like it to look yet when I click out the spacing is completely different?
Also, when I export it it comes out completely different and thin to how it looks in the layout file.
Hi Ashlee,
Are you still using SketchUp/LayOut 2024? It seems that in LO 2025 that spacing thing has been fixed. Not the same font but …
Yes I am using the 2025 version I just updated. I just made 3 different text boxes for now which works for the spacing thing, but now when I export as a PDF it looses its line weight
What font are you using?
Raleway
I’ll test with that one. And what sizes are the different lines?
18
26
18
OK. And just plain Raleway for all three lines?
Product Sheet: Raleway Medium 18
Play Unit: Raleway Regular 26
PU009: Raleway Regular 18
This is what I see with those sizes and fonts.
This is with all of them set to Regular.
Could you send me the LO file by DM?
This is what I get in the PDF export. I just moved the single text box onto the page.
What are you using to view the PDF? I opened it in Adobe Reader.
That is so weird. I am using Adobe too.
It looks exactly how it should. Something must happen wehn I export it, not sure where.
Are you using File>Export or File>Print to get the PDF?
I sure am. I can show you.
That’s what I did, too. It doesn’t make sense that we should get different results. I wonder if @adam can comment.
Out of curiosity is the LayOut version 25.0.634?
I’ve also tried downloading the font from different sources, on at a time, with uninstalling the font file in between each time, incase it was something like that.
I wouldn’t think the font would be different from different sources. Try updating to the current version. Download it from here: Download All | SketchUp | SketchUp and when you install it, right click on the downloaded installer and choose Run as administrator from the Context menu. Let’s make sure you’re up to date that way and see if there’s any difference.
