I have read through all the topics and tried all the suggestions and I’m still getting the same issue. I know its not the file because my colleagues can open the file and export no problem so I think its in my settings but I cant figure it out.
I have unticked the override
I have changed all my fonts
I have uninstalled and reinstalled sketch up
I’ve logged in and out of my account
I’ve changed all the view ports to vector
I’ve removed any dimensions on the model
I’ve tried exporting to my desk top instead of drop box
unfortunately I’m still getting this window
“there was a problem exporting to this file”
How many pages are there in the file? What happens if you try exporting one page at a time. If it is something within the document that is unique to one page, tracking down which page would be a start.
BTW, I would suggest not exporting directly to DropBox. Hopefully you haven’t been working on the file directly from DropBox.
One could conclude it’s not a problem with the LayOut file, then. Rather it’s something about your computer. Have you tried a cold reboot of the machine? Update graphics drivers? What happens if you disconnect the computer from the network and/or internet?
You need to find out what the graphics card model is. Go to the manufacturer’s site and search for their driver downloads. Download and install their most recent drivers and then do another cold reboot of the computer.
Is your document using some special font? If yes, do you have it installed in your system, and is it the same version that your colleagues have? PDF creation is sensitive to typeface issues.
This problem can happen when a dimension is collapsed to zero (auto linked with a SketchUp object). This dimension is currently on a page/some pages. You can find out by just export PDF a half of pages, and a half of a half and so on…
