I’m having a problem in that LayOut is crashing when I copy a Viewport to place in another part of the drawing. Earlier today, it was working fine, but now every time I CMD-C, the application simply shuts down. Other Copy/Paste functions (like copying a scaled drawing) works fine.
I have tried changing the render mode in the viewport from Vector to Raster, same result. Also restarted the Mac. I tried using different copy/paste options, including using menu options, Move tool w/ Option. Same result every time.

Update- I created a new Viewport from my SketchUp drawing, and it seems to be working as expected. Probably a localized issue with the existing viewports. Still annoying, would like to figure out what’s wrong there, but ultimately something I can work through.
Thanks for sending in a few bugsplats. From those I see you’re using the first version of LayOut 2025. There were some fixes in the current version that would help LayOut issues with viewports.
Thank you for the heads up on the update. Unfortunately it didn’t fix the problem. Like I said before, it may have been localized to a quirk within a particular viewport, and I’ve finished out this particular project. I’ll keep an eye out for the problem in the future. I do appreciate SketchUp’s ‘recovery’ option- saved me many minutes of reworking today.
For future reference, using move+copy or even the move stamp mode is more efficient than using copy/paste. This is because for copy/paste we need to put stuff into the OS pasteboard, and using move+copy we can keep everything internal to the application. Of course this will only work if you want the copy on the same page as the existing viewport.
