Layout 2025 shadow rendering inconsistent with Sketchup model

Anyone come across this in 2025?
Inconsistencies in the output .pdf from Layout is different from the Layout project project. On certain views, shadow settings (direction) is incorrect.
This is using both the experimental engine and traditional engine.

It seems to be that the Output engine of Layout does not respect the shadow settings from SketchUp when the environment setting is set to ‘Set Sun Location’
The Display in Layout renders the setting correctly but the Output does not.

I would also add that the toggle checkbox operation within Layout is inverted.

Thanks, does look similar but this behaviour is different.

Even viewport re-renders do not respect that setting as I had obvs been trying that and the Display within Layout was correct.

The checkbox toggle in Layout did force the update but the toggle state is inverted in comparison to the SketchUp model setting.

I’m not exactly seeing the inverted toggle state that you’re referring to, but the shadows certainly have a mind of their own. Even when I turn off Set Sun Location in SU and update all scene parameters, my LO viewports don’t always update or export correctly.

This now a complete lottery as to what it outputs. 4 viewports on a page, different output each time without changing settings. Madness.
