I have a Surface Pro 4 with an Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 card. I have downloaded 2017 and get the following error when I try to launch…any suggestions.
The following errors were found when launching SketchUp:
Hardware acceleration is unsupported or has been disabled on your graphics card. SketchUp requires that you use a hardware accelerated graphics card.
Unfortunately, these errors will prevent SketchUp from running. Updating your graphics card drivers might fix the problem.
See this Help Center article for more information.
First suggestion is to try updating the graphics drivers. That may not help, however. I can’t find any mention of OpenGL support in Specs listings I’ve seen for that card. SketchUp 2017 requires support for OpenGL 3.0 or higher.
From to the Hardware and Software Requirements: “Historically, people have seen problems with Intel-based cards with SketchUp. We don’t recommend using these graphics cards with SketchUp at this time.”
You may be in for a rough ride getting SU to work properly with your hardware.
