I have somehow managed to delete the Tape Measure Tool from the Large Tool Set group that I have sitting to the left of my drawing area. I use that tool a lot . . I mean A LOT !!! My habit is to cursor over to the left, select the tool then place it where I need to draw a layout line or begin a measurement. Yes, there is a selection icon in the toolbars at the top of my screen; but years of habit makes going there for the tool an interruption in my work flow.
I haven’t found a way to add the Tape Measure Tool back to the Large Tool Set. I tried deleting and reinstalling the Large Tool Set to no avail. Shutting SketchUp and restarting didn’t work.
Does anyone know how to add just that tool back to the set? I’d be much obliged.
I’ve tried resetting the toolbar to no avail. I’m about to the point of a reinstall. I’m hesitant to do so because I cannot find any webpage where I can install the 2017 Make version which is, I think, the last free version.
I’m on a retiree’s budget and cannot afford to purchase SU, much as I’d like to.
After numerous attempts, I was able to get the Tape Measure Tool back into the Large Tool Set. I first unchecked the Large Tool Set in View>Toolbars then closed the app. I then reopened the app and checked the Large Tool Set in View>Toolbars then Reset all then closed and restarted the app.
I’m not certain what step worked, but the final result was that I’m now back to where I want to be.
