I would like to create a translucent lamp shade in sketchup using vray. I have not had any luck yet. Does anyone have any recommendations where to find some concise instructions? I will use spot lights inside the three lamps shown
Hi @kbranch - V-Ray versions 3.4 and beyond come with a great starter set of materials. Check out under ‘Plastics’ / Translucent White
Also, In addition to the spot light you’ll need to either add a Sphere light or add an ‘emissive’ material to the bulb in the lamp.
