Kitchen sink models from 3d Warehouse: Curved Geometry has ribbed lines

The models appear as normal withinin 3d Warehouse, but upon download/import, display the abovementioned problem.

I have been downloading Collada files.

I’m using Sketchup Free 2017 (ducks).

I can’t figure out how to correct the issue! Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,
Lance

Thanks for the great tip!

Unfortunately, using the ‘angle between normals’ slider mainly serves to reorient the shadows, or something- the ribbed lines remain unaffected. And same goes for the ‘smooth normals’ selection.

Is there anything else I could try?

Collada files can be troublesome. They often have a weird hard shell of edges that is difficult to remove, it’s like a second set of edges that are not attached to the faces.
But usually exploding the group will allow them to behave.
