was wondering about details to save to scrapbook do create your details in sketchup and save to layout scrapbook or do you create in layout
Scrapbooks are .layout files that you keep in a designated folder. Go into preferences in LayOut to tell it what folders you keep them in. You can have multiple LayOut pages in each scrapbook file that you can leaf through in the scrapbooks panel in LayOut.
I understand that but somethings are easier to draw in SketchUp I can draw in SketchUp import to layout and save to scrapbook right?
I do all of my 2D details in Layout (it’s easy).
Some draw 2D details in SketchUp (because they can’t get on in Layout).
Others do 3D details in SketchUp – I do have a collection of 3D details from when I subscribed to a details provider.
