Issues Logging into SketchUp for Schools: Bad Gateway

Dear Support Team,

I am experiencing difficulties logging into the SketchUp for Schools web application. Here are the details:

*After Microsoft Login: Error Message: 502 Bad Gateway

  • Login Method: Microsoft School Account
  • Browser: Microsoft Edge
  • Operating System:Windows 10/11 (Tried different devices! Also a collegue’s device)
  • Error Message in App Settings: ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT

The issue occurs only with my school account. Logging in with another school account on the same device and browser works without any problems. I have already tried the following steps:

  1. Checking browser settings and disabling extensions
  2. Clearing cache and cookies
  3. Verifying pop-up settings
  4. Using a different network

Unfortunately, the IT department at my school was unable to assist. My students’ Login work just fine. The problem occured last week. Everything worked out fine before. I would greatly appreciate your help in resolving this issue, as I need access to my OneDrive to save files.

@miriam.zotter It sounds like it’s solely your account that is experiencing this issue, is that correct? Are other accounts on the same domain able to login? And are your students using a different domain than you and your fellow teachers?

All mentioned accounts belong to the same domain and belong to the same organization. So the problem only seems to occur with my account

Any suggestions?

Have you been able to compare your settings (similar to those you listed above) to those of a colleague who is able to log in? It sounds as though there may be something on your device that is blocking the login flow, but it could be difficult to determine which it is without seeing your custom orientation. Which browser are you currently using?

I tried Firefox and Edge as standard browsers. Also I tried logging in on different devices. Also on devices of a callegue. It’s really strange. Sketchup always works with accounts of others, never with mine, no matter wich device or browser. Also the program worked one day, and suddenly the next I got the error message. I cannot remember to have changed any settings.

Are you able to include a screenshot of the browser settings that you’re using?

Can you tell me, which browser-settings exactly are useful to you?
The ones of the edge browser or of the sketchup-app? I am sending you some screenshots in the Meantime.

I am not sure about my edge-browsersettings? I am just asking, because my account doesen’t work on any device of collegues either. But ALL the other accounts I tried work on my pc as well as all the other devices.

In the meantime I found out that I can work with this link: (Trimble Identity) and login with my account, but I cannot access my Onedrive there, which would be good.
